ZRA-EC Members in Chin State Adopt SSPC Uniforms Amid Collaboration
Members of the Zomi Revolutionary Army-Eastern Command (ZRA-EC) in Tedim, Chin State, have switched to wearing State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) uniforms. This change, involving around 15 members, follows a meeting on March 5 regarding potential cooperation on arms supply and joint military actions. The identical uniforms may hinder the identification of combatants during conflicts, raising concerns among local residents about escalating tensions and civilian safety.

Members of the Zomi Revolutionary Army-Eastern Command (ZRA-EC) in Tedim, Chin State, have reportedly adopted uniforms of the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC). Approximately 15 ZRA-EC members, stationed with SSPC troops at a camp on Mualtuk Hill, have replaced their own uniforms, complicating the ability to distinguish between the two groups.
This development follows a March 5 meeting discussing cooperation on arms and joint military efforts. The use of identical uniforms raises concerns regarding identification during conflicts and the impact on local civilians amid escalating tensions in the region since the 2021 military coup in Myanmar.
