33kV Power Line Project in Osun State Stalled Despite N175.2m Payment

POWER GRIDS & TRANSMISSION

The construction of a 33kV power line in Osun State has stalled seven months after N175.2 million was paid to Enytem Global Ltd. The project is intended to run from Obaagun road to Unity Polytechnic Junction along Otan-Ayegbaju-Ila-Orangun road.

Despite the erection of over 300 concrete electricity poles, many remain without cables and have not been connected to the power grid. A Non-Governmental Organization, Tracka, has called on the Federal Ministry of Power to ensure that contractors resume work to complete the project.
