85 Degrees Secures Permit for Geothermal Drilling in Bleiswijk
85 Degrees has obtained a drilling permit in Bleiswijk, Netherlands, under the oversight of Aardyn. The project focuses on extracting geothermal energy from various underground layers while addressing environmental and financial compliance.

The Dutch government agency RVO has granted 85 Degrees a permit to commence drilling operations in Bleiswijk, facilitated by operator Aardyn. This project will explore geothermal energy from multiple subsurface layers in Bleiswijk 2 and 3.
In addition, the province of Zuid-Holland is evaluating the project's environmental impact on local groundwater resources. Financial reserves must be established by 85 Degrees to mitigate potential liabilities related to seismic activities. The company's ability to maintain financial stability amid growing project demands is currently uncertain.
