AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang Advocates for Rail Links to Sikh Holy Sites in Punjab
AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang has urged the Indian government to enhance Punjab's rail connectivity, specifically for Chamkaur Sahib and Balachaur, which are currently isolated from the national rail network. He emphasized the need for daily superfast train services to major Sikh Takhts and the reopening of Chatouli station, while also addressing delays in local infrastructure projects.

Malvinder Singh Kang, an AAP MP from Punjab, has called for improved railway links to enhance connectivity for Chamkaur Sahib and Balachaur, which are currently isolated. During a Lok Sabha discussion, he stressed the historical significance of Sri Chamkaur Sahib for pilgrims and local economies.
Kang requested daily superfast train services to key Sikh Takhts and the reopening of Chatouli station, which has been closed since the pandemic. He also highlighted delays in Ropar district's overbridge projects and welcomed a ₹900 crore semiconductor laboratory project in Mohali, linking improved rail logistics to Punjab's tech sector growth.
