Adani Defence Delivers 2,000 Made-in-India Negev LMGs to Indian Army; 4,000 More Scheduled for 2026
Adani Defence & Aerospace has delivered the first batch of 2,000 Prahar light machine guns (LMGs) to the Indian Army. The Prahar is the Indian version of the Israeli Negev NG7, produced under a joint venture with PLR Systems in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. A total of 41,000 LMGs are contracted for delivery, with 4,000 expected this year. The manufacturing aligns with India's 'Make in India' initiative, featuring over 75% indigenous content. Adani plans significant investments to enhance defense capabilities by 2026.

Adani Defence & Aerospace delivered 2,000 Prahar light machine guns (LMGs) to the Indian Army as part of a contract for 41,000 units. The Prahar, based on the Israeli Negev NG7 LMG, is produced at a facility in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, in collaboration with PLR Systems.
This delivery is part of the 'Make in India' initiative, with the aim of achieving over 75% indigenous content in production. An additional 4,000 units are scheduled for delivery this year. Adani plans to invest Rs 1.8 lakh crore by 2026 to expand capabilities in unmanned systems and advanced technologies.
