Adani Defence Delivers First 2,000 'Prahar' LMGs to Indian Army from Gwalior Facility
Adani Defence & Aerospace has delivered 2,000 indigenously manufactured 'Prahar' Light Machine Guns (LMGs) to the Indian Army, ahead of schedule. The Gwalior facility is set to manufacture close quarter battle weapons and has a capacity of 100,000 weapons annually. The delivery is part of a larger order of over 40,000 LMGs to be fulfilled in seven years.

Adani Defence & Aerospace delivered 2,000 'Prahar' Light Machine Guns (LMGs) to the Indian Army, marking a milestone in India’s small arms manufacturing. The delivery was completed 11 months ahead of schedule, with the first-of-production model developed in six months.
The Gwalior facility, a 100-acre site, has an annual production capacity of 100,000 weapons, with over 90% domestic sourcing. Adani Defence's ammunition complex in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, commissioned in 2024, supports this manufacturing with a capacity of 300 million rounds annually. The facility is also preparing to produce close quarter battle weapons.
