Adelaide University Secures Grant for Sustainable Aviation Project with China
Adelaide University has received a $400,000 grant from the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations for a sustainable aviation project over two years. The project, announced by Foreign Minister Penny Wong, aims to enhance collaboration between Australian and Chinese stakeholders in the development of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). It includes five major conferences across Australia and Greater China and supports engagement through workshops and student exchanges.

Adelaide University has been awarded a $400,000 grant for the Australia-China Cooperation for Sustainable Aviation (ACCSA) project, aimed at advancing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) collaboration with China. Announced by Foreign Minister Penny Wong, the initiative focuses on accelerating SAF development, a key decarbonization strategy for aviation.
It will engage stakeholders through five conferences in Beijing, Adelaide, Brisbane, Hong Kong, and Sydney, along with seminars and workshops. The project seeks to promote cooperation among SAF researchers, industry participants, and policymakers in both countries, and includes a student exchange program to train future leaders in the field.
