Aguascalientes Enhances Security with SAGAZ Initiative and Tech Gates
Aguascalientes has initiated the SAGAZ plan, deploying five Tech-Driven Security Gates to bolster regional safety. This coordinated effort with Zacatecas aims to improve surveillance and operational efficiency along key transportation routes.

Aguascalientes is implementing the SAGAZ plan, enhancing security through five Tech-Driven Security Gates integrated with the C5i command center. Launched on July 1, this initiative unites Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, and the Mexican Army to improve highway safety and interagency collaboration.
Each gate features advanced technologies like automatic license plate and facial recognition, enabling real-time data comparison to detect criminal activity. The initiative builds on the Blindaje Aguascalientes strategy, which has modernized security infrastructure since August 2023, including the addition of over 3,000 surveillance cameras. The collaboration aims to address regional security challenges and maintain economic stability by enhancing public safety and operational coordination among various law enforcement agencies.
