Alkagesta Expands Fuel Operations in Europe with Biofuels and ULSFO
Alkagesta is enhancing its European operations by increasing supplies of aviation fuel, low-sulfur marine fuel, and biofuels. The company aims to strengthen its presence in the market while advancing its sustainability initiatives, notably in Romania.

Alkagesta has intensified its European operations by providing Jet A-1 aviation fuel through the NATO pipeline, initially serving airports in Brussels and Frankfurt, and now expanding to five airports in Germany and Belgium since February 2026. The company delivered over 500,000 tons of low-sulfur marine fuel (ULSFO) in 2025 after ECA regulations took effect in May 2025, marking it as a key supplier in the Central and Eastern Mediterranean region.
Alkagesta is also focused on biofuels expansion, enhancing feedstock sourcing and logistics. The company has developed a biofuels trading platform since 2025, aiming to integrate biofuels into existing supply chains.
Additionally, Alkagesta's recycling of Used Cooking Oil (UCO) has increased collection from 734 tons to 1,860 tons, showcasing significant growth in sustainability efforts within the regional circular economy. This growth reflects improved logistics and processing efficiencies.
