AM Development Guinea SA conducted a site identification visit on March 30, 2024, for bauxite in Mamou, following project approval. The initiative includes building a 326-kilometer railway connecting Mamou to Benty, which will feature a mineral port, a bauxite refinery, and a hydroelectric micro-dam.

The company is set to invest $50 billion, aiming to generate tens of thousands of jobs for local residents. Additionally, AM Development is pursuing collaboration with the government on urban development projects in Conakry and nearby regions to improve youth employment and stimulate economic growth.
