An Giang Provincial Committee Reviews Power Supply for APEC 2027 in Phu Quoc
The An Giang Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to assess power supply and construction plans for APEC 2027. EVNSPC reported that An Giang is connected to the national grid via four substations with 2,000 MVA capacity and three solar plants totaling 310 MWp. In 2026, VND2.128 trillion will be allocated for grid projects, including the Phu Quoc 220kV substation. Additional investments are planned for Bai Truong 110kV Substation and related transmission lines to ensure reliable electricity for the conference.

The An Giang Provincial People's Committee met in Phu Quoc to review power supply and construction progress for APEC 2027. EVNSPC reported that An Giang is supplied by four 220kV substations with a total of 2,000 MVA capacity and three solar plants with 310 MWp capacity.
A VND2.128 trillion investment is planned for 2026, including VND877 billion for the Phu Quoc 220kV substation. Key projects include the Phu Quoc 220kV substation and the Bai Truong 110kV substation. Total investment for the Bai Truong project is estimated at VND401 billion for underground cables and VND327 billion for a hybrid solution. Local authorities were directed to expedite land clearance and resolve project implementation issues.
