The Antioch Police Department will hold a grand opening for its Sycamore Substation on March 11, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This substation is part of a public safety investment supported by a $25,000 grant from the Contra Costa County Community Impact Fund, with contributions of $12,500 from Supervisors Diane Burgis and Shanelle Scales-Preston.

The funding approval was facilitated by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors to enhance neighborhood safety and response capabilities in East Contra Costa County. The grand opening will feature remarks from city and county officials and facility tours.
