Archipelago Yachts Opens New Shipyard in Newport, Isle of Wight
Archipelago Yachts has launched a new shipyard in Newport, Isle of Wight, enhancing its production capabilities. The facility will enable the construction of up to six boats annually, focusing on aluminium yachts and advancing hybrid and electric technology. The yard supports the company's methanol range-extender project and aims to strengthen the local marine economy. Archipelago is committed to working with local suppliers and exploring apprenticeship opportunities.

Archipelago Yachts has opened a new shipyard in Newport, Isle of Wight, allowing the company to control its production line for the first time. The facility can build up to four vessels simultaneously and is designed to increase production capacity to six boats per year.
Current projects include the Archipelago 47 and 40, with launches scheduled for summer 2026. The shipyard will serve as a development base for the company's methanol range-extender project and support advancements in low-carbon propulsion technologies. Archipelago plans to collaborate with local suppliers and invest in workforce development through apprenticeships.
