Arduino Core Project Supports Nordic nRF54L Wireless SoCs
The nRF54L Arduino Core provides Arduino compatibility for Nordic Semiconductor's nRF54L wireless SoCs, enhancing development options. This project is particularly significant for users preferring Arduino programming over the Zephyr-based nRF Connect SDK.

The nRF54L Arduino Core is an open-source initiative aimed at enabling Arduino support for Nordic Semiconductor's nRF54L wireless SoCs, including the Seeed Studio XIAO nRF54L15 and XIAO nRF54LM20A boards. Users can access dual-core features, such as utilizing the 128 MHz Cortex-M33 application CPU and VPR RISC-V coprocessor without a vendor RTOS.
Direct access to peripherals like GPIO, ADC, and PWM is supported. The core also integrates low-power features, including System ON idle and reset-cause APIs. However, the experimental nature of certain code samples, particularly for Thread and Zigbee, may limit functionality. This project may lead to increased power consumption in battery-operated devices and could challenge users accustomed to the nRF Connect SDK.
