The Arlington City Council approved $25,000 for a replacement bucket truck and initiated plans for a multi-million dollar electrical substation project. The council appointed Jim Klingelhutz as Fire Chief, effective March 1.

Interim City Administrator Jennifer Ferguson reported a general fund balance of approximately $1.4 million and recommended transferring $600,000 to the capital improvement fund for future needs. The council authorized Power System Engineering (PSE) to apply for interconnection with Xcel Energy for the substation, targeted for completion by fall 2028, and approved a $12,000 inventory study for voltage conversion. Additional actions included renewing a contract for police tasers and starting recruitment for a permanent City Administrator.
