Australia, Canada, India Form AI and Tech Partnership to Enhance Innovation
The Australia-Canada-India Technology and Innovation (ACITI) Partnership aims to leverage strengths in AI, quantum research, and semiconductors. This collaboration, initiated in November 2025, is crucial for enhancing cross-border talent mobility, research, and technology governance, ultimately promoting economic growth in the three nations.

Launched in November 2025, the ACITI Partnership seeks to deepen collaborations on critical technologies such as AI, semiconductors, and quantum research. This initiative highlights the distinct strengths of the involved countries: Canada’s foundational AI research, Australia’s advanced tech capacity, and India’s engineering talent.
The partnership includes 13 new university collaborations between Canada and India focused on enhancing talent mobility and applied research. Notably, CAD$25 million will fund scholarships for Indian students in Canada, expanding the talent pool for AI and deep-tech sectors.
The integration of semiconductor manufacturing with AI governance and ethical standards is expected to create a robust innovation ecosystem. Effective execution of this partnership is essential to transforming trilateral relations into tangible economic outcomes.
