Axis Engineering Deploys Innovative Technology to Enhance Libreville's Electrical Network
Axis Engineering is implementing a new technology solution to strengthen the electricity transit between Owendo power plant and Bisségué substation in Libreville as part of the project to enhance the Interconnected Network (RIC). The project aims to increase the electricity transport capacity from 90 MW to nearly 200 MW without disrupting service, addressing the growing energy demand in Gabon’s capital. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Universal Access to Water and Energy and includes the installation of a new generation ACCC conductor developed with CTC Global.

Axis Engineering is enhancing the electricity transit capacity in Libreville through a project aimed at modernizing the Interconnected Network (RIC). The initiative will upgrade the transit between the Owendo power plant and Bisségué substation, increasing the capacity from 90 MW to approximately 200 MW.
This upgrade uses a new generation ACCC conductor, developed in collaboration with CTC Global, optimizing existing infrastructure without new constructions. The project will be executed without interrupting power supply, addressing the increasing energy demand and reducing outages. It aligns with the Gabonese government's energy policy.
