B&N Mining Initiates Tungsten Processing Program with Montana Tech and Army Research Laboratory Support
B&N Mining Inc. has launched a multi-stage tungsten processing program funded by the Army Research Laboratory, in collaboration with Montana Technological University. This initiative aims to validate a complete ore-to-metal tungsten processing pathway, addressing the U.S. reliance on tungsten imports and enhancing domestic supply chains.

B&N Mining Inc. has initiated a staged technical program to validate a tungsten processing pathway, supported by the Army Research Laboratory and Montana Technological University. The program, utilizing scheelite-bearing material from the Atolia Tungsten Project, consists of four stages: mineral processing development, process validation, bulk concentrate production, and metal production.
Currently, the U.S. lacks primary tungsten production and heavily relies on imports, making this project crucial for establishing domestic supply chains. The Atolia area, historically significant for tungsten production, presents additional exploration potential that could further secure domestic resources.
