Boeing Reports Progress in Aircraft, Space, and Defense Areas
Boeing has achieved significant milestones, including the successful aborted takeoff test of the 777-9 and the launch of Artemis-II. The company also secured a $900 million contract with the US Air Force, enhancing its defense sector position.

Boeing's 777-9 completed a crucial aborted takeoff test on April 4 at Edwards Air Force Base, a step towards its planned service entry in 2027. The Space Launch System core stage successfully launched Artemis-II, the first crewed lunar mission since Apollo.
Additionally, a $900 million maintenance contract with the US Air Force for the T-38C-Talon avionics system extends through March 2036. Korean Air's order for 95 jets highlights a recovery in confidence regarding Boeing's production amid supply chain issues. Production rates for the 737 MAX are scheduled to rise from 42 to 47 aircraft monthly by mid-2026, with MAX-7 and MAX-10 certifications expected soon.
