Bordeaux Airport Secures €170 Million in Sustainability-Linked Financing
Bordeaux Airport has signed a €170 million financing agreement with regional banks to enhance its infrastructure and sustainability efforts. This funding reflects a strong commitment to aligning economic performance with environmental and social responsibilities, positioning the airport as a vital economic driver for Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

On April 1, 2026, Bordeaux Airport announced a €170 million financing agreement with regional banks, emphasizing sustainable development. This financing, free from public funding, will fund infrastructure modernization and improve passenger experience, reinforcing the airport's economic role in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
The agreement links financial performance to sustainability indicators, with 70% of the airport's total debt now sustainability-linked. A unique bonus/penalty mechanism promotes decarbonization through a Sustainable Aviation Fuel support fund.
The involved banks include Caisse d'Epargne Cepac and Crédit Agricole Aquitaine, with advisory support from EY. This initiative aims to enhance local economic resilience and promote environmental responsibility in air transport.
