Brazil's SIATT Delivers MAX Anti-Tank Missiles to Army
The Brazilian Army received the first batch of domestically produced MAX 1.2 AC anti-tank missiles on May 14, 2026, marking a significant advancement in local defense capabilities. Developed by SIATT and CTEx, these missiles enhance Brazil's self-sufficiency in military production, crucial for rapid response in crisis situations.

On May 14, 2026, SIATT delivered the initial production batch of MAX 1.2 AC anti-tank missiles to the Brazilian Army in Formosa, Goiás. This event concludes a lengthy development cycle and signifies the transition from prototype to serial production at SIATT's facility in Caçapava, São Paulo.
The MAX 1.2 AC, measuring 1.38 meters and weighing 15.4 kilograms, features a laser-guided system capable of engaging static and moving targets at ranges from 200 meters to 3.2 kilometers. The Brazilian Army's first dedicated anti-tank unit, established in late 2024, will integrate these domestically manufactured missiles, enhancing operational readiness. The initiative is part of Brazil's broader strategy to ensure military self-sufficiency, particularly highlighted during the Guyana-Venezuela border crisis when prototype stocks were deployed.
