BSIA and SICIP Contract for Training 3,500 Semiconductor Professionals in Bangladesh
The Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association (BSIA) has signed a contract with the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (SICIP) to train 3,500 graduates in semiconductor-related fields. The training will include six specialized courses over three months each, with a total program cost of BDT 35.14 crore and an implementation period from February 2026 to December 2028. The initiative aims for at least 65% job placement among trainees, contributing to Bangladesh's semiconductor ecosystem.

The program will offer six specialized courses including IC Design and Layout Engineering and Applied Semiconductor Systems, each lasting three months.
The total cost is BDT 35.14 crore, with implementation scheduled from February 2026 to December 2028. The goal is to achieve at least 65% job placement for certified trainees, enhancing Bangladesh's semiconductor workforce and competitiveness in the global market.
