C-DAC Launches India's Largest Pre-Silicon Chip Validation Facility in Bengaluru
The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) has launched PRITVI-ACE, India's largest pre-silicon chip validation facility in Bengaluru. The facility supports designs up to 48-core CPUs and aims to enhance the semiconductor design ecosystem by enabling near-silicon-speed prototyping and validation. It will function as a national shared resource for R&D programs under the National Supercomputing Mission and India Semiconductor Mission, aiding startups and academic institutions. Built on Siemens EDA's Veloce Pro FPGA platform, PRITVI-ACE is expected to reduce design risk and time-to-market for indigenous chips.

C-DAC has inaugurated PRITVI-ACE, India's largest pre-silicon chip validation facility in Bengaluru, designed to support up to 48-core high-performance CPUs and multiple smaller designs concurrently. This facility allows for near-silicon-speed prototyping and end-to-end validation of semiconductor designs, enhancing first-silicon success rates and reducing development costs.
PRITVI-ACE will serve as a national shared resource for R&D initiatives under the National Supercomputing Mission and India Semiconductor Mission, supporting startups and academic institutions. Built on Siemens EDA's Veloce Pro FPGA platform and powered by AMD Xilinx VP1942 FPGAs, the facility aims to transform India's semiconductor landscape from a services-focused ecosystem to a product-driven industry.
