CERC Dismisses SJVN Green Energy's Petition on Delivery Point Dispute for Gujarat Solar Project
The CERC dismissed SJVN Green Energy's petition regarding the delivery point for its 100 MW solar project in Gujarat. The Commission ruled that the official delivery point for commercial settlement is at the GETCO periphery, as certified by the Gujarat State Load Dispatch Centre. SJVN Green had argued for Point D at the CTU substation but was opposed by GUVNL and SLDC, who maintained that billing must reflect the actual energy received at the state boundary. The project, part of the Raghanesda Solar Park, achieved commercial operation in phases starting in April 2024.

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) rejected SJVN Green Energy Limited's petition regarding the delivery point for its 100 MW solar project in Gujarat, ruling that the official delivery point is at the GETCO periphery. The dispute involved SGEL, GUVNL, and the Gujarat SLDC, with SGEL claiming losses due to the measurement of delivered electricity at downstream points rather than Point D at the CTU substation.
The CERC's decision emphasized that payment obligations under the power purchase agreement must be based on energy certified in the state energy account. The solar project began operations in phases in 2024.
