Cero Generation and Enso Energy Achieve Financial Close on UK Bumble Bee Solar and Battery Project
Cero Generation and Enso Energy have secured financial close for the Bumble Bee Project, a 78MW solar PV and 120MW battery project near Doncaster, UK. The project includes a 10-year tolling agreement with Engie for optimizing part of the battery capacity. EDF will provide optimization services for the remaining battery and solar PV. Financial close involves lenders such as ING, NORD/LB, Rabobank, and Santander UK.

Cero Generation and Enso Energy have reached financial close on the Bumble Bee Project, a solar PV and battery project near Doncaster, UK. The project will feature 78MW of solar PV and a 120MW battery.
A long-term tolling agreement with Engie will secure revenues for 70MW/140MWh of battery capacity, marking the first such agreement for a co-located asset in the UK. EDF is engaged for optimization services for the remaining battery capacity and solar PV.
The financial close involves lenders including ING, NORD/LB, Rabobank, and Santander UK. Early engagement with National Grid Electricity Transmission and NESO was crucial for maintaining project timelines.
