City Power has scheduled planned electricity outages in Johannesburg for February 2026 as part of its network maintenance programme. On February 3, 2026, residents in Region F will experience an outage from 8 am to 4 pm due to maintenance at the Robertsham Substation.

Affected areas include several suburbs in southern Johannesburg. Additionally, maintenance at the International Business Gateway (IBG) switching station in Midrand will result in an outage on February 5, 2026, from 9 am to 5 pm, impacting the entire IBG area.

Furthermore, a major interruption at the Lunar Substation has been rescheduled to February 7, 2026, from 9 am to 5 pm. City Power emphasizes the importance of safety during these outages, advising customers to treat their electricity supply points as live, as power may be restored at any time.
