Grupo Energía Bogotá (GEB) and Canada's pension fund CDPQ are negotiating the merger of their Brazilian transmission assets, forming one of Brazil's largest power grid operators. GEB will merge its holdings into Verene Energia, created by CDPQ in 2022.
The combined entity will manage over 9,000 kilometers of transmission lines, enhancing its market position. GEB operates across Latin America and entered Brazil in 2015.
