Colombia's Ministry of Mines and Energy will issue an official exploration permit for the Condor Paipa Geothermal Project, led by the Dewhurst Group in Paipa, Boyacá. The permit follows extensive technical studies and resource assessments that have identified geothermal potential in the area.

The project will focus on evaluating geothermal resources for renewable electricity generation and direct applications in agriculture and tourism. The permit ceremony is scheduled for February 27, 2026, and will include participation from government officials, business representatives, and academia, marking the start of the exploration phase.
