Colombia's Ministry of National Defense Advances C-UAS Procurement for National Anti-Drone Shield Program
Colombia's Ministry of National Defense is advancing the procurement of Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) for the National Anti-Drone Shield program initiated in December 2025. The program focuses on enhancing the armed forces' capabilities to detect, identify, and neutralize drones. Currently, the procurement process is in the technical definition phase, with over 100 companies involved. Contracts are expected to be finalized by May 7, 2026, including agreements for industrial compensation to benefit the nation.
