Construction of 33/11 kV Substation in Hasthinapuram, Chennai to Begin Soon

This substation aims to address long-standing power supply issues in Chromepet and neighboring areas, benefiting approximately 30,000 consumers. Previously, residents faced frequent power cuts and low voltage problems, prompting protests and petitions to local officials. The site for the substation was identified on government land after resolving encroachment issues.
