Costa Rica's Trade & Investment Promotion Agency (PROCOMER) inaugurated an Investment Promotion Office in Silicon Valley to attract investment in technology and semiconductors. Minister of Foreign Trade Manuel Tovar emphasized the office's role in connecting with innovators and investors in California's dynamic tech ecosystem.

Between 2014 and 2024, 101 investment projects from California generated approximately 19,200 jobs in Costa Rica, with a focus on services and advanced manufacturing. The IPO will support new investments and facilitate the retention and expansion of California-based companies in Costa Rica.
