Cross-Sound Cable Company to Upgrade HVDC Transmission System in Northeast
Argo Infrastructure Partners announced the redevelopment of the Cross-Sound Cable transmission system to enhance connectivity between New England and Long Island. A partner will be selected for this project to modernize and expand the system, increasing transmission capacity and reliability. Marathon Capital has been engaged to assist in finding a suitable partner. The initiative aims to support the goals of the U.S. Department of Energy and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission while promoting regional workforce development.

Argo Infrastructure Partners is initiating a redevelopment project for the Cross-Sound Cable (CSC) transmission system, which connects New England and Long Island. The project aims to upgrade and expand the high-voltage direct current system to enhance resiliency and reliability.
Argo is seeking a transmission redevelopment partner with expertise in infrastructure capital, supported by Marathon Capital. The initiative aligns with U.S. Department of Energy and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission goals for inter-regional transmission expansion. Argo has managed CSC since 2015 and anticipates that the redevelopment will facilitate workforce development and strengthen energy security.
