Cross-Sound Cable Company to Upgrade HVDC Transmission System in Northeast
Argo Infrastructure Partners is initiating a redevelopment project for the Cross-Sound Cable (CSC) transmission system, which connects New England and Long Island. The project aims to upgrade and expand the high-voltage direct current system to enhance resiliency and reliability.
Argo is seeking a transmission redevelopment partner with expertise in infrastructure capital, supported by Marathon Capital. The initiative aligns with U.S. Department of Energy and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission goals for inter-regional transmission expansion. Argo has managed CSC since 2015 and anticipates that the redevelopment will facilitate workforce development and strengthen energy security.
