Da Nang and Chemnitz Enhance Collaboration in High-Tech Sectors
Da Nang and Chemnitz are intensifying cooperation in high-tech industries, focusing on semiconductors, AI, and green technology. This partnership aims to leverage Da Nang's strategic initiatives to attract investment and technology transfer, positioning the city as a global manufacturing hub.

On March 30, 2026, Da Nang and Chemnitz officials convened to strengthen ties in high-tech sectors, particularly semiconductors and AI. The meeting, organized by the Da Nang Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Centre, highlighted Da Nang's strategic infrastructure projects and its ambition to develop as a key regional hub for innovation.
Da Nang has attracted 28 projects from Germany totaling $671.4 million. An MoU between Fraunhofer ENAS, DSAC, and DSAI-TECH is anticipated to formalize this cooperation. Both cities aim for deeper integration of businesses into global value chains, with Chemnitz recognizing Da Nang's potential for sustainable growth. This collaboration may enhance technological exchange and investment opportunities.
