The Dekker Group has taken delivery of a new electric cutter suction dredger (CSD) from De Klop, designed for emission-free dredging in inland waters. Built entirely in the Netherlands, the CSD features a flexible power supply system that can utilize the electrical grid or alternative energy sources like fuel cells and methanol.

It aims to comply with stringent environmental regulations, operating without onboard combustion engines or hydraulics. The dredger is capable of handling various soil types, including fine sediments, sand, and gravel, and is designed for easy adaptation to greater dredging depths.
