Delorean is establishing a bioenergy business that focuses on converting organic waste into renewable energy. The company has received $3.8 million from a $6.08 million grant agreement with ARENA for its SA1 Salisbury project, which is designed to process approximately 70,000 tonnes of waste.
Delorean manages the entire process, from design to operation, allowing for a streamlined approach to waste processing and energy production. Its long-term goal includes deploying additional facilities across Australia to address the national organic waste challenge, as over 12 million tonnes currently end up in landfills. The operational model encompasses multiple revenue streams, including gate fees, energy sales, and environmental credits, ensuring financial sustainability.
