Delta Air Lines Launches New Austin-Phoenix Route to Compete with American Airlines
Delta Air Lines is introducing a new twice-daily nonstop service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) starting November 9, 2026. This expansion targets business and leisure travel demands and strengthens Delta's presence against American Airlines and Southwest Airlines. The route supports connectivity between semiconductor hubs in Austin and Phoenix. Delta aims to enhance customer loyalty by offering more nonstop flights and plans to increase operations at AUS significantly by summer 2026.
