Denver Broncos Continue Land Acquisitions for New Stadium Near Burnham Yard
The Denver Broncos are progressing with their plans for a new stadium near Burnham Yard by acquiring over 15 parcels of land, including recent purchases totaling $27 million. The team aims to finalize its acquisition footprint and has submitted a preliminary plan, targeting building permits by early 2027. Community discussions regarding a benefits agreement and a city-led small area plan for Burnham Yard are also underway, with public meetings scheduled for February.

The Denver Broncos are advancing their stadium plans by acquiring properties around Burnham Yard, the site announced in September. The team has purchased over 15 parcels, including three recent transactions: 480 N.
Osage St. for $13 million, 781-785 N. Vallejo St. for $2.2 million, and 830 N. Wyandot St. for $12.8 million.
The Broncos aim to fill gaps in their acquisition footprint, which includes land owned by SRM Concrete valued at $15.6 million. The Broncos have submitted a preliminary plan for the stadium, targeting building permits by early 2027.
Meanwhile, discussions about a potential Xcel Energy substation near Zuni Street are ongoing. Community leaders are negotiating a benefits agreement related to the stadium, with public discussions set for February. A city-led small area plan for Burnham Yard is also in development, expected to be adopted by the end of 2025.
