DGIST Launches Distinguished Researcher Program to Enhance Global Competitiveness
DGIST has initiated the 'Distinguished Researcher' program, integrating it with the existing 'Distinguished Professor' system to better support exceptional researchers. This strategic move aims to attract and nurture top talent and bolster DGIST's position as a leading global research institution.

DGIST has fully implemented the 'Distinguished Researcher' system to enhance its research capabilities. This program combines the existing 'Distinguished Professor' system and the new 'Distinguished Researcher' initiative, focusing on systematic support for both faculty and research staff.
Lee Myung-jae, a prominent researcher in nanotechnology, has been appointed the first 'Distinguished Researcher' due to his expertise in neuromorphic memory computing. He has significantly contributed to semiconductor technology, holding 96 patents and receiving multiple awards.
The program is expected to attract high-caliber researchers and foster synergies between academic and research divisions. DGIST aims to strengthen its global research status through this initiative.
