DLI 2.0 Expands Financial Support for Semiconductor Design Firms
The DLI 2.0 scheme aims to enhance domestic semiconductor design through substantial financial backing for eligible companies. It includes seed funding of up to 15 crore rupees, equity co-investment, and royalty financing options.

The DLI 2.0 initiative will provide financial support to semiconductor chip design companies, with eligible startups and MSMEs able to receive seed funding up to 15 crore rupees. The program, developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), also proposes government equity participation alongside private investors.
Additional funding mechanisms include equity co-investment and royalty financing for various firms. This scheme is designed to strengthen domestic semiconductor design capabilities and improve market access. The impact of this program may lead to increased innovation in the semiconductor sector and a more competitive domestic market.
