Dolphin Semiconductor and INTERA Group Launch Ultra-Low-Power Edge Intelligence Platform

Dolphin Semiconductor and INTERA Group have established a collaborative effort to create a reference platform that merges Dolphin's WhisperExtractor analog feature-extraction IP with INTERA's Spiking Neural Network processing architecture. This platform targets the challenge of continuous intelligent sensing in devices with strict power budgets, employing a combination of analog-domain feature extraction and event-driven neuromorphic inference.

The resulting solution provides OEMs a validated starting point to incorporate always-on acoustic and sensor intelligence into low-power products. Key markets for this technology include true wireless earbuds, hearing aids, smart glasses, and edge IoT devices, where power efficiency directly affects performance.
