Dominican Republic Launches Foreign Direct Investment Plan for ICT Companies 2026-2036
The Dominican Republic's Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, supported by UNDP, has introduced a Foreign Direct Investment Attraction Plan for ICT Companies spanning 2026-2036. This strategy aims to establish the country as a regional hub for high-value digital services, focusing on semiconductor manufacturing, software development, Healthtech, and advanced BPO services, while promoting innovation and job creation in STEM fields.

The Dominican Republic's Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, with UNDP support, has unveiled the Foreign Direct Investment Attraction Plan for ICT Companies covering 2026-2036. This initiative seeks to position the Dominican Republic as a regional hub for high-value digital services by integrating into global technology value chains.
Key focus areas include semiconductor manufacturing, software development, Healthtech, and advanced BPO services. The strategy aims to enhance innovation, create STEM jobs, and foster long-term economic growth through collaboration with key institutions such as ProDominicana and the National Council of Export Free Zones.
