DSV, Microsoft, United Airlines, and Phillips 66 Partner on 11 Million Gallon SAF Initiative
A partnership between DSV, Microsoft, United Airlines, and Phillips 66 aims to provide 11 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), potentially reducing lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 100,000 metric tons. This collaboration represents the largest SAF supply agreement with a single customer, facilitating significant advancements in sustainable fuel access across the aviation supply chain.

DSV has entered a partnership with Microsoft, United Airlines, and Phillips 66 to supply 11 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), which could lead to a reduction of about 100,000 metric tons in greenhouse gas emissions. United Airlines will directly utilize the SAF, while DSV and Microsoft will implement a book-and-claim model to ensure verified emissions reductions without taking physical custody of the fuel.
This agreement is recognized as the largest SAF supply deal with a single customer in United Airlines’ Eco-Skies Alliance program history. The transaction is supported by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification and is tracked through the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Certificate Registry.
The operational coordination among the partners highlights the complexities of scaling SAF and the need for effective infrastructure in the aviation sector. As demand for SAF increases, this collaboration may serve as a model for future agreements within the industry.
