DSV Partners with Microsoft for Sustainable Aviation Fuel Supply Chain
DSV has formed a partnership with Microsoft, United Airlines, and Phillips 66 to deliver up to 41.6 million liters of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). This initiative aims to cut lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 100,000 tons compared to traditional kerosene, marking a significant step in the transition to low-carbon air travel.

The collaboration among DSV, Microsoft, United Airlines, and Phillips 66 focuses on providing 41.6 million liters of SAF. Expected reductions in greenhouse gas emissions could reach 100,000 tons compared to conventional aviation fuel.
United Airlines will utilize the SAF, while DSV and Microsoft will implement a 'Book-and-Claim' system to assign verified emissions reductions. This approach allows for scalable CO₂ reduction linked to the supply chain.
The SAF transactions will adhere to DSV's standard process, supported by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) to ensure sustainability compliance. This partnership is anticipated to enhance the integration of SAF in the airfreight sector, facilitating a transition towards a carbon-neutral air transport system.
