Edison conducted a power grid improvement project in the Santa Barbara foothills, using a helicopter to deliver five new power poles. The operation took place primarily above the Santa Barbara Eastside along the Riviera.

Some residents were evacuated, and others experienced power outages throughout the day. Vehicles were halted on Alameda Padre Serra until the helicopter completed its tasks and the area was cleared. Ground crews were also deployed to assist with the installation, aiming to enhance the reliability of the power grid.
