EE Seeks Approval for 20m Phone Mast Installation in Penwortham
Telent Technology Services has applied to South Ribble Borough Council to install a 20m monopole for EE on Blackthorn Drive, Penwortham. The installation will include antennas and equipment to enhance 3G/4G/5G coverage, addressing operational issues at a nearby site. The proposal is expected to benefit emergency services coverage. Additionally, seven other planning applications have been submitted in the area for various developments.

Telent Technology Services Limited has submitted a planning application to South Ribble Borough Council for a 20m monopole installation on Blackthorn Drive, Penwortham. The structure will feature six antennas, two transmission dishes, three equipment cabinets, and cabling.
The new mast aims to replace an existing site that cannot be upgraded to 5G, ensuring continued coverage for voice and data services, particularly for emergency services. The proposal includes seven additional applications in the local area, covering developments such as an electric substation, an industrial unit for refuse vehicle maintenance, and changes in use for residential properties.
