The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has approved RE Resources Inc.'s application to connect its San Manuel solar project, producing 69.90 MWac, to the electricity grid. This project includes a 75 MVA, 69-kV substation and a 7-kilometer double circuit transmission line, with a total cost of P325.48 million.

Construction commenced on January 27 and is about 90% complete. The ERC reiterated that all power generation companies must secure authorization for similar projects to ensure coordinated system planning and grid integrity.
