Eridu Corp. raised $200 million in Series A funding to develop a new network switch designed to enhance AI workloads. Led by Socratic Partners, the investment included participation from MediaTek and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.

The switch aims to address limitations in existing networking solutions that cannot handle the increasing demands of AI data traffic. It features a clean-sheet silicon architecture that enables a single switch to replace multiple lower-level switches, reducing latency and power consumption.
