The Erik Thun Group launched the Thun Resolve, a 7,999 DWT ice-class 1A product tanker, on February 12, 2026, at Ferus Smit BV, Germany. Designed for the Northern European short-sea market, it can carry 9,500 m³ of liquid product and features advanced sustainability technologies, including shore power backup and a methanol-ready design.

Upon delivery, it will enter a long-term employment program with strategic partners and be operated by Thun Tankers BV. The vessel's launch is part of the Gothia Tanker Alliance, which focuses on safety and operational reliability. An international panel discussion followed the launch to address challenges in sustainable shipbuilding and transport solutions.
