Frankfurt Airport and Bangalore Airport Sign MoU for Air Freight Cooperation
Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and Bangalore Airport (BLR) signed a memorandum of understanding on February 25, 2026, during the Air Cargo India trade show in Mumbai. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in the air freight sector. Fraport Cargo, which previously established a similar partnership with Shanghai Pudong Airport, focuses on collaboration rather than financial investments. The partnership follows discussions that began in April 2025 and aims to leverage Bangalore's strong technology and manufacturing sectors. The EU-India free trade agreement is expected to boost trade between the regions.
