French Partners Establish Integrated Low-Carbon Ethanol Supply Chain
VIVESCIA, Roquette, and Siplec E.Leclerc have launched a three-year partnership to create an integrated low-carbon ethanol supply chain in France. This initiative aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote regenerative agriculture, and enhance energy sovereignty in the country.

VIVESCIA, Roquette, and Siplec E.Leclerc have initiated a three-year collaboration to form France's first fully integrated low-carbon ethanol supply chain, enhancing road biofuels. This initiative focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions while promoting sustainable agricultural practices through VIVESCIA's TRANSITIONS program, which incentivizes regenerative farming.
Roquette will produce ethanol at its Beinheim facility using advanced low-carbon technologies, while Siplec E.Leclerc will distribute the fuel through its network of 734 stations. The complete value chain is certified under the 2BSvs sustainability standard, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This development is anticipated to stabilize the supply of low-carbon fuel-grade ethanol in France, potentially maintaining stable prices while fostering renewable fuel adoption.
